"How much does it weigh?"

guy, you said you could deal with a 12.5 lb bass for 4 hours no problem.

I don't think weight is an issue at all for you, so I'm not sure how you feel this topic is relevant other than most of this is irrelevant.

you also said that if you can't judge weight just by holding something for a few minutes, then you'll never be able to. But you also stated that you can deal with a 12.5 lbs bass for 4 hours. The difference between 9 and 9.5 lbs is a lot to some people, they have said so.

Do you think you could possibly be diving into a topic that admittedly has little relevance to you, but possibly you dismissed some remarks that are very relevant to others?

Sigh.

Look at my original post in this thread. The question I answered IS revelant to me.

Why would the fact that I am not concerned with the weight of a bass make my opinion irrevelant? Should only weight-sensitive players have an opinion on the subject?

the question is why are people sensitive to weight.

you are not.

I read your posts, all of them in this thread. You did start out with a valid statement of your opinion. I'm not saying you can't have your opinion. but you take a hard stance on your opinion and how others that will never figure out weight issues even with a scale in a store. That might still be an opinion, but it's straight up wrong.

btw, I remember I bought a custom classic off of you I think, you told me the approx weight of it, it was a little heavy for me but you were honest about what you said. Also a jazz deluxe V, but I don't think I asked at all about that one. Anyone who ever expected a completely accurate weight off of bathroom scales is a tool imo. buying off the internet is not the place to be optimistic, i think that is a point we agree on.

Sorry, lamarjones, but I am not wrong simply because you disagree with me. I think a guy standing in a bricks and mortar store weighing a bass on a fish scale is silly. I'm sorry that offends you.

who cares if it's silly, you said he wouldn't be able to figure out if it would work for him. if he knows his cutoff is 9.5 and it's 9.8, then what is silly about knowing that? That happens ALL the time, about tons of things.

That scenario doesn't strike me a silly anywhere near not being able to comprehend that scenario.
