How often do you change your preamp's batteries?

I've had my BTB for like 7 months now and just wondering when would it be ideal to change my batteries?

Is it like obvious when you need to?
If so, my bad.

If the battery is flat, the bass won't make sound.

I'm not sure if lower battery levels effect tone from the pre or not though, but someone will know.

My batteries last at least a year. My old Roadstar and current Soundgears tend to let you know the battery's dying when they start distorting; I'd assume the BTB is the same way.

The main thing to find out is whether or not your bass switches to passive mode when the battery dies. My Stingray does not, so when the battery's dead, I get no sound. You'll want to pack spares for sure if that's the case!

i change them every 6 months... sometime i forget my basses connected...
Just to make sure o dont get a dead battery in the middle of a gig

the btb doesn't go passive i'm pretty sure,

YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES.

when the battery is going down it will create a light fuzz and get heavier and heavier until absolutely no sound comes out at all, batteries can last a long time, don't sweat it.

My batteries last about 2 months after that I find that the tone i get isnt as good as i get with a fresh battery so i change it however i have played with a battery till it died (about 5 months) but it just sounded flat to me hope that helped

I know when my battery goes its the low notes that fizzle and flatulate first. I always keep a spare battery in my gig bag and a screw driver.
