How To Clean Darkglass Head Chassis

What's up all,

I just picked up a used Alpha Omega 900 head and would like to clean up the chassis a bit.

Can anyone recommend what to clean it with?

A damp cloth. Avoid cleaners like 409 as they are sometimes harsh enough to remove painted lettering.

I generally use windex. If the amp has passed safety testing, the lettering should not be an issue because it is tested for rub resistance as part of the certification testing. It’s always a good idea to test on an inconspicuous area however.

Baby wipes if you have a young one. Wring them out a bit and follow up with a paper towel.

Beware that many baby wipes have mineral oil or other substances which can damage finishes.
