How to get this tone?

I'm guessing it's a P bass simply because it's Paul Jackson, after that in terms of amp or EQ I'm stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Doesn't sound like Paul Jackson's Precision at all...
But the playing certainly sounds like him.

There's some sizzle (almost modern scooped in there). I would say it's not a P as a P couldn't acheive those sizzly highs.

I'm betting it's a Stingray.

No flats. They sound lke bright nickels rounds or stainless rounds. They have a bright edge to them.

thats a bonus track and wasnt recorded in 78 with the rest of the tracks. thats probably his custom esp with a bart musicman pickup

Probably not but Ill bet you can get that sound on a rounds on a warwick with roundwounds.....honestly you can probably get close on any bass but definately roundwounds
