I forgot to mention my beyerdynamics DT770A set of monitor speakers or headphones?
I mean maybe I need a Di Box for example or preamp
you have what you need to record a bass signal. i'm curious about what "better" means. (?)getting better bass sound for the recording
The Duet supports instrument level inputs. There are settings in the "Maestro" thing. Be sure you have set the 1/4" input to instrument. If you have it set to line it'll be tough to get a good tone.If you have a passive bass, then you May want to put a bass preamp between it and the Apogee Duet
Mainly to impedance match as a passive bass is not a Mic level, and it's not a Line level.
You don't need transformers, you don't need tubes just a basic pre-amp pedal for around $35
