How to link to another thread

When I want to do that, I copy, then paste the thread URL.
Perhaps there is another way, but that works for me.

That works. You can also copy and paste the link from the first post.

Each post is numbered on the top right corner. This little image is from the first post in this thread.

Right click the number and it opens the following menu. The advantage here is you might want to link to post #36 rather than #1.

Click "copy link" and post the link to another thread.

Here is the actual link to post #1 in this thread: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/how-to-link-to-another-thread.1660750/#post-28697593

You can use this approach to post links from some other webforums. For example this should open post #5 from a thread titled SM7B vs. RE20: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/how-to-link-to-another-thread.1660750/#post-28697593

The process in post #3 is still the same. Here is a link back to your OP. I would work the same if the OP was on a different page or in a different thread:

This is result with copying the URL for the thread as described in post #2. Copying the URL takes you back to the top of whatever page you copy. I.E. the first post on the page you copy.

Click the quotes and see what happens.

Well I tried that, and yes it works. Here. But not in a Wiki page.

I should perhaps have clarified that a Wiki page is where it's not working for me. I didn't because I didn't realise that Wiki pages are different in this respect.
