How to relic / age a Squier Bass neck?

I sprayed a really white looking maple neck with Vintage Amber. It comes out really fast in my limited experience with it.

Practice eight hours a day and come back here in 20 years.

And never put it in a case or dust it off. Also helps if you lend it out to a lot of amateur bass players in order to get those authentic nicks and scratches.
...OR.....just buy a 20 year old Squier. I have 3, swapped one of the necks with a newer body.
Changed it back shortly thereafter, feel and tone sucked, or so I felt then.
