How to replace a fuse for AI Contra 310 BA?

I found the fuses underneath the power input. Both seem fine. I switched them out and the amp still won't turn on

Sigh...I need this amp and have not found anyone in the city that I can trust to take amps to. There was a good guy in BK that moved away years ago. I went to some hack off Google who did nothing.

It may also be a different value for 240V use rather than 120V use. Beware.

Yes, xraytonyb just made a video about different fuse ratings (mostly the voltage rating) and why you need to use the correct rating. They generally look identical to the untrained eye, so you must be really careful - or just take it to a qualified tech.

For me, I operate under the principle that . . .

A) It's cheaper for me to take it to someone qualified to fix the problem, than it is to . . . .

B) Take it to the same guy to 'fix what I fixed!' AND the original problem.

. . . as I've proved this to myself a few times.

Get it to a qualified doctor. That fuse blew for a reason. When something works great, until it doesn't work at all, something went sideways. A real, qualified and accredited tech is the only real source of help.

A BLOWN FUSE IS A SYMPTOM, NOT THE PROBLEM. Have an educated person find the PROBLEM.

Main Drag might be a good place to start, as Evan mentioned. At least they might refer you to some good techs in the tri-state area. Too bad Acoustic Image is out of business after Rick passed away. I am crossing my fingers for my Clarus to keep working for many years to come (even though I seldom use it these days).
