I'm confused and i have to admit, i hate the new layout.

go to the classifieds, e.g. for amps: http://www.talkbass.com/forums/for-sale-amps-preamps-and-cabinets.127/
and enter what you are looking for in the search box. If you want to search titles only, select the 'search titles only' checkbox. make sure 'display results as threads' is checked

I just went and searched the BG classified basses FS forum for Warwick and got 14 pages of results. Some people have been mistakenly entering the gear name they're looking for in the username field, but beyond that, I think the new search engine is light years better than the old one.
