Eh... dunno. What i have learned is I SUCK at trying to imitate someone else's style. I mean... WOW do I SUCK at that. I came to terms with that and just started listening to the songs and playing what feels right to me. Now, that might sound like all positive, but it is a rather severe negative. People pretty much go with me if they really just like my approach. If they want something along the lines of (pick a player), I will wildly disappoint. Even if I incorporate elements of their style into mine...it will only be elements and it might not be clear to the listener that those elements influenced what I am doing. I am either "really your guy... or really not." haha
