Hey everybody!
I just finished recording a new song and I thought this might be fun: Here is the finished product without the bass track. Go ahead and have fun with it! You can use it just to jam or to practice building bass lines, whatever your heart desires.
It would be really cool, though, if you record and share your bass lines here. I think it would be interesting to see all the different approaches and philosphies: Will you do a simple groove on the root note or produce your whole arsenal of trickeries? What kind of bass will you use? Will there be crazy effects?
The song basically consists of two very easy parts: the verse is on Dm, C, the chorus on G, C, then goes to Am, C, Am. Tempo is 106bpm.
Depending on how the thread goes, I will post the full song with bass in the next few days.
Disclaimer: There are no copyright concerns here. I wrote, played and recorded everything myself at home and I am not pursuing any kind of financial interest with this song.
Have fun!
Micha
