Howdy TalkBass

Hi all. I originally started on guitar about 22-23 years ago, played in various punk / garage rock bands. But I also got into playing bass, just for fun in my free time. Then I was working overseas several years so I got rid of my instruments and only traveled with a classical guitar. Last year I got the itch to start playing bass again, and practicing bass has pretty much consumed all my free time since then :D This forum has been a great resource for me, so I figured it's time I join and participate a little bit.

Welcome! Glad to have you among us. Now, be prepared for GAS. It is an acronym for Gear Acquisition Syndrome, a condition where in you feel compelled to buy new and additional gear of all sorts. TalkBass causes that. When I first joined up about 5 years ago, I had 2 basses and 2 amps, one gigging amp and one practice amp. Now I have 15 basses, 5 amps, and a lot of other stuff. Good luck.
