How's this for a string mute? (Crown Royal bag)

I'm just havin a little fun. It actually works pretty well. There are a million uses for Crown Royal bags.

I use those crown bags as cable holders. Now I have another use for them.

My trombone playing roomate uses one on his trombone stand for extra protection for the bell. Works great.

Keep my DI and a short cable in one. Keep my Coil Cable in one. They can really help de-clutter a gig bag.

This bag is obviously one of the small ones, but I have all sizes. Handy things to have. Dr flats plus this bag/mute makes this jazz into a "plunk" factory.

CR Bag as string mute, great idea. I'll copy your idea when I'm done my bottle of Crown Royal Black (great taste), which comes in a black bag, of course, w/ gold lettering.

Growing up we used a CR bag for Scrabble tiles, wooden ones, and as those purple bags became available (rare, my parents are strictly social drinkers), they found other uses, of course. The main thing was those Scrabble tiles...

You mean like the Gretsch basses from the 60s? Toggle for the mute is the knob closest to the tailpiece.

The black bag would look better... I may have to go to the liquor store. Hopefully they make "black" in the small size.
