    Hugo Rautmann was one of the last two instruments played by Oscar Zimmerman the last 10 years of his life.

    The bass is in excellent shape, with an even sound throughout the full range. It has a lovely singing tone in the upper range. The bass does have a false nut to reduce string length to 43’
