Human Roxy B5

I can't remember which model, but someone played a Human Base while I was at the Atlanta Bass Gallery. I believe it had dual Delano mm style pickups. Not sure about the preamp, but possibly a Glockenklang. It had a fantastic, clear, pure tone to it. Not a retro tone, but I would call it a very clean modern tone. I heard and played a few very high end basses at ABG, but I think my favorite was the Human Base.

my 2 cents...

That was probably the BaseX.oc5. Also reviewd by Ed :)

+1. I'm really digging the Roxy B5 myself and I'm thinking about buying one because I love the tone Ed gets from the one he plays on. It's pretty much either a Roxy B5 or a Warwick Streamer Jazzman at this point.

To comment a bit on the Glockenklang preamps; Ed described them perfectly, they are VERY transparent. So much so that the passive and active modes sound practically identical in my Sandberg. Basically if your bass sounds great naturally the Glockenklang will make it sound better. It really just builds on the tone that the bass has.
