Humbuckers

Hi guys, i'm considering switching from single coils to humbuckers (probably a Warwick 'Vette $$) and i was wondering what is meant by series and parallel circuits (switch options) and also whether strap locks are the standard things on your bass that hold the strap on, or upgrades that prevent the strap from falling off (dumb question i know.) Thanks

Haven't the faintest about circuits, but straplocks are standard on my basses. I use Dunlop, some use bits of bottle-top, but I'd say don't live without them.

You probably mean something like Schaller Security Locks that prevent the strap from loosing off the instrument.

What Warwick means by straplock is what the OP means by upgrade. So a Dunlop style straplock which actually locks the strap in place.

I think that's it, could you post a picture of the Security Locks, the ones i have (which i think aren't the strap locks look kinda like a T shape.

Sorry guys, most of this is just confusing me more (it's probably really simple, i know, but i still only have the slightest idea. By series do they mean the top coil is active (not battery powered, picking up sound) and parallel the humbucker is using both pickups or the other way around?
