If you are in the path stay safe and stay dry. Looks like it is going to be a bit more than just a little wind and rain. I got a lot of family in the path, including my parents, son and one daughter.

Oh man, I wish them the best! I have a daughter and three grandkids on the eastern shore of mobile bay, even though it looks like they are out of the line of fire with this one, I know what you’re going through watching that thing heading towards them on the weather channel and knowing there isn’t a thing you can do to help!
I keep an open door for any family and friends that need to evacuate. Hopefully some take me up in this one. Looks like a cat 4.
I hope they take you up on the evac offer. A Cat 4 is nothing to mess around with.
Unfortunately we are 2,200 miles away from Mobile Bay, so ours never take us up on the evac offers.

Times like this I'm happy to live in a place where I only have to worry about the Earth itself killing me with that magnitude 9 quake we're overdue for. I hope all your peeps stay safe!
Watching this unfold on tv. Bad juju indeed. I must echo Wazzel's sentiment and offer my fervent hope that any brothers or sisters of Talkbass in the area are kept safe, and their property secure.
Reports of lots of damage back home. My parents had minor damage in Bourg, LA. Couple of friends had roofs blown off and other house damaged around the Houma, LA area. Only injury I know of is one friend was in his garage when the garage door blew in. Knocked him across the garage. Bruised up but nothing broken.
My daughter ended up coming to Houston. Last spoke to my son and parents last night around 8:30. Power is down all over that part of the state. My In-laws are in the greater New Orleans area. There is no power at all around there. Last heard from them yesterday afternoon.
