I've read about the Hydrive cabs here on TB and I went to a doug wimbish spector clinic and he was playing through the Hydrive cabs (Larry Hartke was also there) Just wondering if any of you guys use these cabs for hard rock/metal and how they sound. I hear the Hartkes have a punchy high end but what about the low end? Right now I have a AMPEG SVT pro 4 head with an Ampeg 8x10 cab. After speaking with Larry he offered me artist pricing on his stuff and am deciding if I want to make the switch over to the Hartke stuff. He was a great guy!!! If I do replace my ampeg stuff I was thinking of going with either 2 410 hydrive cabs or a 810 hydrive cab and then when the Kilo 1000 comes out get that as my amp.

My Hydrive 4x10 has no problem matching my Ampeg 4x10 HLF in terms of bottom end. The major difference being the Hydrive has much more clarity, better balance, and no where near as heavy. I've covered all kinds of different stuff, including hard rock and some metal and the Hyrdive stuff shines with it all!!! If you have any more questions feel free.
