I achieved a neat milestone with reading

I post often about how I printed up Cliff Engle's Rhythm Reading Exercises PDF and take to the treadmill at the gym.
I have done so off and on for about 3 years. Post holidays, I'm back on the treadmill with this lovely set of exercises.

To my surprise I noticed I was doing something I had considered beyond my ability: reading ahead!
When I first started this exercise/exercise , I had to really focus on the measure of the moment, and the tempo my feet kept.
But this morning, I realized I was "chunking" entire bars in my head , and while mentally sounding out the "chunked" bar,
I was also peeking ahead at what was next. I was reading "words" instead of "letters" if you will.

I just wanted to share that, and maybe show to anyone struggling with reading that yes, it is a bit of marathon(haha)
but you get moments like this, where you think Holy cow, I did not realize I could do that!

cheers
