So did my bro... Me and my parents are moving with him, his wife and new born starting next month... That way by us paying part of the price (i am renting a room from him) he might pull of the payments...

Congrats! Taxes will also make you happy at tax time when you get to deduct all your interest paid on it!
And you will learn to HATE the home depot / lowes. You'll keep going there pissing more and more money off.
And then you'll do some project only to have something else break, or get partway through and discover some "interesting" fact - like perhaps that was a load bearing poster.
Either way, it is nice.

I don't know that they even have Home Depot and Lowes in the UK but I think they probably don't.

I don't think tax laws are the same in this country sadly.
The government did away with mortgage tax relief a couple of years back, unfortunately, so no savings to be made there.
And no, there's no Home Depot or Lowe's in the UK - instead you've got B&Q (VERY similar to Home Depot, same orange on the sign, even the same layout inside!) and Homebase. Got to add Ikea... I've spent so much money in there every time I've moved to a new place!
