Hi, I just bought an Epiphone explorer bass for $200, but it came without a case. I gig often so I was wondering what kind of case will fit it and where I can find one. I live in Indiana and I have a gig in NYC so it will be thrown around quite a bit. I would really appreciate any advice.

I cannot find a hardshell case to fit my Epiphone Explorer bass.

I'd suggest just buying an empty unmolded bass case and wedging it around the edges so it'll fit.
Or better yet, a heavy duty gig bag.

I had the exact same problem.
I ended up having a case made for it and its MASSIVE.
SO i went for a gig bag for easy transportation, and the only one I could find was a Stagg Acoustic bass bag, but it works fine. If you put a little extra padding in yourself your bass will be better protected too, especially on the corners.

wont a coffin case work? they are big
take it to GC and size it up with the cases there....

+1 thats pretty much what I would do
I bought a Gretsch Electromatic Pro jet guitar without a case
Even thought the general shape resembles the Gibson Les Paul the horns are slightly different. I took it to my local Sam Ash and tried a bunch of cases and interestingly the only one that fit was $40 CNB case that I could have bought from Rondo.
Go to GC and Sam Ash with your bass and try a bunch of universal HSC cases. As far as I know Epiphone does not offer
the HSC for the Explorer anymore since its out of production
