I did it...I bought an Ibanez SRT900DX!

That's a looker for sure. I have an SR505 that I'll never get rid of. It practically plays itself and I've gotten nothing but compliments on how great it sounds. The low B is enough to knock a wall down! Lot's of sounds within, lots of good things to say about Ibanez basses.

Congrat's and enjoy!!

At some point I'm going to have to try a 5. Maybe a 505 is where I should start! :D

Thanks again for the compliments! The finish and the color of the Jutoba/Bubinga neck and Ovankol body is amazing. The neck is very comfortable but you can tell it's not a finely sanded maple. You can feel the wood grain but it's smooth and it's texture is just...alive? I've never spent much time looking at the neck of my bass before. But I find myself gazing at this one.

Congratz! Awesome bass! :) I should know, I have a 5er, hehe! ;)

To me this particular model looks like Ibby's response to a Warwick bass ;) The tone is certainly different from a typical SR. The neck is a bit chunkier and wider than a SR's too, while the weight...close to a W Corvette.

I love mine (but I'm considering changing the electronics to MEC or Bartolini - I find the EMGs too artificial sounding and mid focused).
