Hey guys,
It is usually not in my nature to purchase anything on impulse but a couple weeks ago I purchased the Squier Deluxe Jazz V Active bass only because I dug the vibe and sound of this bass. First of all let me say I am not a bass player by trade but rather an engineer but I can play mostly anything, with a little patient. Problem is, I don't have very long fingers and the nut width of this bass is 2.008. I thought I could get use to it but I'm not.
Okay, let me get to the point. A couple years ago I tracked a few songs using a Carvin B5 and really dug the neck size. I would A/B these 2 basses if I could. Have any of you compared them and for those of you who own a B5, is it a better bass, all around (sound/parts/etc) than the Squier?
Thanks mates.
Z.
ps.. btw, wish I could afford something great but can't.
