This little robbing technique is actually not uncommon around here. The usual form takes place by the person asking you the time. As many people use their mobiles as clocks these days the victim has to get their mobile out. At this point the enquirer grabs the phone and scarpers.

Well folks. I'm out of here. I'm going to post this here for the time being. Some might consider it harsh and premature, but eventually, you'll come to see that Maki was like David Bowie. Ahead of his time.

I will bet you $5 that the mods do nothing. In fact I bet that JT would have posted a fail picture as well. He is known to do that from time to time.

In all seriousness, this isn't that big a of deal. You lost 20 quid, lost a bunch of time filling out a report (waste of time) and you are still alive. Buy some pepper spray or something.

i would just like to add that the site mgmt is not here to be folks' parents. don't "threaten" to report something you consider out of line to try and manipulate someone to do what you want. either report a questionable post or don't, and remember, "being a pain" is not a bannable offense, although misusing the postreport button is.

fassa, if you blog on talkbass, expect to be questioned about the veracity of your more unbelievable adventures. also, take a lesson from the many folks that have used tb as their personal blog in the past. they have all either been chased off or gotten themselves banned.

get a blog site if you want to expound. this is a -community- site. that means conversation, and with conversation comes disagreement. the proper way to deal with disagreement here at talkbass isn't "i'm gonna tell mom" its providing factual verification.
