I got the Geezers!

Just played my pink Peavey B-Ninety for the first time with the new EMG Geezer Butler signature P/J set - I'm so stoked! This bass is alive in a way that it wasn't with the original electronics. Honestly, I paid more for the pickups than I did for the bass... and it was worth it!
I've got it strung with DR Black Beauties, playing it through my Rumble 100 tonight. I'm exploring the fuzz on this amp today more than I have before - and playing a little louder than usual!
I've got a few gigs on the books and I'm stoked to take it out and play!

Excellent purchase. Those things sound great. Easy install and hum and buzz free. Probably my favorite P pickup out there. Once you hear this pickup setup onstage at live volumes, you’ll be happier than you are!

The original pickups had an active preamp, and I really prefer passive in my tone. These things are dynamic, though! And so quiet as far as unwanted hum, I'm impressed. Plus I don't have to take four screws off (!) to get access to the stupid cavity with the 9 volt!
