I got tired of black

A couple of days ago, I was at a craft store with my sister-in-law to pick up some stuff for one of her projects, and I found some plaid fabric on clearance, so I bought a couple of yards. I did this on Friday.

My son realized I was taking pictures, so he decided he needed to be in one of them.

I know the plaid isn't exactly straight, but it's not bad considering I've never done anything like this before.

I'm planning on doing my 1X15 cab monday in a different plaid, and pics will follow.

makes a change! i was going to get my sister to paint-a-cab if ever i built one. she painted the walls of our practice room with all sorts of funky graffiti art!

Edit- ^ I love the bosstones...one of the times I saw them live, I wore a plaid suit. Joe Gittleman made a comment about how it was bad that one of their fans was wearing better plaid than they were

sadly, not in my budget right now. both of my basses are covered in stickers, and I like them that way(see my avatar). If I was going to do a plaid bass, I'd have to buy another bass, and I was just talking with some friends of mine last night about how hard it would be to get the fabric into the curves without it bunching up all over the place.

Thanks to everyone for your opinions...whether you liked it or not I always like getting good and bad feedback on pseudo-artistic stuff that I do, even if it's just something I hatched out of boredom.
