I went to gc cause the site said they had an ampeg rocket in stock amd I wanted to compare the 210 rocket to the 210 rumble .
Well when I got there they said they didn't have one in stock.
What I did see was a used mesa 800 plus in MINT Condition.
My gc has a bunch of used cabs right now so I was able to demo it across several. 3 different genz cabs, swr, peavy and an old gk 410 and a couple others. I lost track of them all.
None of the cabs were "it" but man that sure is a nice little amp. There isn't a single control on it I don't like.
You guys told me the plus was mildy voiced and that was evident. It's even more mildly voiced than I thought it would be. Just an all around good sounding amp..I wanted to tske it home but it's on 30 day hold cause they just got it yesterday. Even it's bag is nice and clean.
I really liked it with this genz cab, whenever it is..I tried the array but it sounded a little flat. I gotta get me one of those 800s though.
Something that really surprised me was the fender rumble I got yesterday sounds alot better (to me) than some of those older , more expensive 410 cabs. I like the rumble over the genz 210 array and the swr stuff.That REALLY surprised me. The array sounded a lot flatter than I thought it would, but not in a good way..
This little genz cab sounded lovely though. Just not enough umf for some of my heavier settings.
