I have never....

They're pretty cool but if you post a "How I do I get the tone from 'x' by Muse" thread, we can't be friends anymore :(.

+10000000000000 it had to be said.

I am still pretty "green" and def the FNG, but I would never. I fully see the pattern re: certain frequently asked questions. But Hell, that guy is a TONE MONSTER!!!

I had never consciously listened to Muse until I started dating my current girlfriend, who soon pointed out Time is Running Out is featured in a scene in the first Twilight movie. I like a few of their songs, Chris Wolstenholme has some serious skills, nice use of effects and some pretty upfront, catchy lines, but they just don't interest me. I also dislike how popular they are and how it seems like everyday they or one of their songs has been voted as the best ____ ever.

I've heard about them plenty on here but never actually checked them out, and finally just went and took a YouTube tour. Pretty cool super slick pop rock stuff, but what amazed me most was that I've managed to have heard every song I played on some commercial, movie, or show. Way to cash in, Muse-guys.

I have listened to them.. not really a fan.

+1...ALL my mates are Muse fans, but to me they're just overproduced Radiohead wannabees - besides they use SOO much goddamn customised gear they could easily mime onstage by flicking a magic switch and the audience would think they were gods damn gift - sod Muse playing Wembley Arena with all their showey bollocks, I'd rather watch the White Stripes playing on the floor in a cramped smokey pub!!

I suppose this post had to be made eventually :rollno:.

They make some great noises, but I'm starting to get tired of dynamics-less music. That wall of compressed sound would make me very tired after a short time. Would be so much better if they'd just STOP every once in a while!

But yes, very, very nice use of effects. Every one clear as a bell, never heard any mud.
