My problem is i'm not patient enough waiting for my wallet to "fatten" up, so I usually end up selling basses that I love to get another that isn't necessarily better.... just different. The most i've had at once was 5, i'm now down to three but want to get back up to 5 when I add a Ric and a T-Bird

Congrats Sedan_Dad, I recently purchased a MIM P in Sage green with tort guard for $250 as well. Money well spent. I'm planning to drop a '57RI pickup that i've go lying around in it and possibly a badass II bridge... possibly.

I went up to eight for a while, but #8 was purchased on the promise that I would sell three of my other basses -- it was an upgrade. So soon I will be down to five.

Cool, my wife thinks it's cool too. We're lucky as some guys get hassled by their wives about this kind of thing. I know I'm at over 20, but I always have basses coming in or going out, I've got my gig basses, my non-gig basses, my display basses, my stack to sell someday, and ..... I don't even know the exact number anymore.

Oh yeah, I am lovin' it. I just don't think I could live without a P, and this is a great one.

First off, the DB doesn't count towards the total, or at least that what I always tell my wife

The most I ever had was 13, but that has been whittled down to just 5 at this time (not counting the DB ). But the count bounces up and down all of the time. I try really hard to keep it at a 5 bass limit, mostly due to space in my case, but since I do a fair amount of buy/sell stuff that number is never set in stone.

So really, it's only just 6 + an upright .... that's not too bad ...
