I didn't realize that slapping was a proper technique for a minuet, but I will have to try it next time I play Bach's Minuet in G, using the Jerry Seinfeld patch!

Just a thought, hopefully helpful: Likely, your right-hand technique is a tad too vigorous and it just happened to work better for the higher action. Keep slappin'!

You may well be right there. I will try to slap one of my other basses less hard and see if that sounds passable.

Have you tried going back to another bass of yours and slap on that one?

I haven't. But yes, I'll try that today and see if I can suddenly make them work.
