I keep reading GK made in USA in posts??

Is current production GK gear outsourced for production outside the USA now?

If yes when did this start and where is it now made? China? I have an 800rb I got in 1994 I trust it is USA made?

Is there a difference in reliability with the off shore stuff now?

Mike

I believe the current MB-series used to be made in China. They started making them in America not to long ago.

The "Tribute Series" GKs are made overseas. When you see people posting "made in USA", it's probably to let you know that it's not a Tribute series.

What's a "Tribute Series" GK? Google isn't showing anything. Are you thinking of the G&L Tribute Series?

Our Understanding is that Production is gradually being moved to the USA .
I quit GK because they begin to outsourcing but I am happy to know that they realize it is not a good thing so may be one I will come back.

All components of my musical instruments system is locally made so it give work to Americans or canadians, pollute less, for whatever the price tag, period, no compromise on this.

No Eden, Ampeg, Genz B, ect.
