Seems steep. Is it chambered? Are the chambers full of diamonds?

  3. Maybe because it's handmade?

Well, it is almost half the price of a Fender Phil Lynott P bass.

Well yep, that's not your regular stingray bass from the shop across the street.

Uh, $7000? I know I’m in the minority here, but IMO Cliff’s sound is the least audible bass of any band ever. He could be playing a Ric or a potato for all the difference I would hear.

  8. I liked his sound better when he used a P bass anyway. Seriously.

  9. Here's mine.
    $1,234 in 2001.
    Love it very much.
    To each their own. ;)

    Only 26 in the world.

  13. Gimme a ****** break...!!!!
But you know what? They will sell all 26, a few will be here for NBD’s no doubt. I see more big money being thrown around during COVID than any time before...working from home is like getting a raise.

The fine print at the bottom indicates that all of the proceeds are given to an Alzheimer’s support group which kind of eases the appearance of corporate greed, to understate it somewhat.

Hell yeah! I'll take one! (Let's see. Thats $7000 + tax = $7612.50 + 29% interest over about 10 years to pay it off......) Hell yeah! I'll take one!

.......It really does touch that "special place" for me, though. It so reminds me of my favoritist parts build, which I stupidly sold. A "mother of a different brother!" :bassist:

I think a few aficionados might go for it.
I mean, I heard Fender sold 31 of the 100 Phil Lynott P basses, and I think they were even more expensive.
Hey, Music Man might sell 15 of these things. After all, they're obviously better than every other Stingray made. Just look at all those special appointments. Hey, that ain't basswood, right?

I have to agree, my new-to-me SR5 H special is amazing. Super light, great B string (even a great G string!), versatile tone...
