I need a practice amp, so....

What is your favorite practice amp, 12" or less... but not including headphone amps... should be open air.

Venue is ... my bedroom, with the occasional arena experience (my living room).

I haven't bought anything in a long time... so I would love to see some of your favorites. :)

Honestly, My Line 6 LD150 is a great 12" 150 watt kickback amp. It sports a lot for $399. At times I think I'm going to be rid of it because I have 4 combo amps, but When I plug in either my MIA 08 Jazz, Geddy or J24 it really impresses me.

My Peavey Microbass sounds VERY good, and was the smallest decent sounding bass amp I could trade down to. I went trough three Peaveys, each smaller, until I landed on this little, light gem. It holds up for our acoustic (except me) Parlor Pickin's, and is plenty loud for some lightweight electric jams. It must be an earlier model...in that it is not a "II", or a "III"..You can find these used pretty easy, I believe. I think I gave $35.00 for this one on ebay, then another $15.00 shipping, if I recall correctly.

I have fender Bassman 15" that is for larger venues, or outdoors acoustic.

I was looking forward to trying the Cube but all it did was fart at me. Could not get a good sound out of it. I think that I need to go back to GC and try it again. I keep hearing nice reviews about it.

Floor model? Could be anything. Defective, abused, low batteries?

It's not an amp that you can drive like a 100W tube amp. But for practice at home, or a quiet acoustic gig, it's great. In my opinion.
