I need a simple Bass Boost pedal

Can anyone recomend a good bass boost pedal. My band are working on a couple of songs where certain parts need to be louder than the rest of the song, but not distorted, so i thought a simple bass boost pedal may do the job but i am not sure what is out there.

The LPB-1 is cheap but from what I understand,...not completely transparent. It's still a pedal I'm interested in checking out and would probably be just fine for my non-audiophile ears and live applications.

There are a lot of boutique boosters out there that are TBP and hella spendy for what they are but are supposed to be quite good in build and sound quality; if you can justify the cost.

If you have an unused disto/OD pedal like a DS-1,...etc,...you can set the gain completely off, turn the level up and get a clean boost out of it. May not be completely transparent,...but is an easy solution.

Do you need a bass boost, or a boost pedal that works with bass?

There are lots of clean boosts that work with bass. And quite a few overdrive/distortion pedals, like the sparkle drive, can also do a nice clean boost.

ah... i took your op to mean a bass boost.
if you're after a boost to work with the bass, the lpb 1 does a great job. it isn't transparent, as noted above, but it does add some 'mojo' to your sound.

I'd go the other way around..

Volume pedals.. and cut or swell.... OR something like the MXR M-80 DI Box.. you can foot switch the "db gain"

I owned some pedals like the MXR.. they are single function and can overdrive your amp.

Or better yet.. turn your amp up and your bass down.. roll it up when needed.

Sorry, should have been more specific with my words.
What i need is a boost pedal thet works with bass. The EHX Mole looks like it could do the job, also the MXR Micro amp, thanks everyone.

Ok, almost any good clean boost will work. Really, pick a price point and look around.

Sparkle drive is great for clean boost and is also an tube screamer clone. At the low end, PD7 can do a clean boost, as can the OBD-3.

I have heard really good things about the Super Chile Picoso, and it is really small if space is tight.

And a clean boost is a great first pedal to build :p
