I do know how to play it already but i need to know how to get the tone of his bass and other users have already answered. Thanks anywaysWell not to sound snarky, but it's a "lesson" video, so... play it like he teaches you in the lesson? You can use the YouTube "settings" menu to play back the video at a slower speed, to make it easier to follow along.
In particular what I notice is his good right-hand technique. Notice how he is muting the unplayed strings with this thumb. And even more importantly, notice how he varies his right-hand position to get different tone for different parts of the song. I really like the sections where he is plucking closer to the bridge.
My advice is to work through the lesson video slowly and copy his moves as exactly as possible. Good luck!![]()
I suspect you missed his point. A big part of tone is playing technique. You can hit all the right notes at all the right times but how you hit the notes makes a big difference in tone.I do know how to play it already but i need to know how to get the tone of his bass and other users have already answered.
