Just Google "maggots" on images. There's a bunch more. These maggots were intentionally placed on the infected wound to consume the decaying flesh. Here's a link to the web site from which the photo was taken. Enjoy.

Crossing Jordan is occasionally cool. The science is weaker than on other forensic shows. But the main character is HAWT! Sorry. I lost control there for a moment. But Jill Hennesey is an utter doll.
Now, for other than prurient interest, CSI is better.
And I liked the one with the bombed building where they kept thinking the last victim was a deranged homeless guy and sending him away, while they were trying to find him in the building. Then the camera catches a shot of the wound on his back and everybody is all "Whoa! He's the guy!" Funny.
