I never get tired of opening this case

EBMM Stingray Saphire Iris

Nor should you, gorgeous bass. Love the color. Black hardware is perfect on that one too. Does it change from blue to purple depending on the angle of light, or it is it a subtle "purple burst" over blue?
Yup. I didnt expect that when I ordered it, though. I absolutely love the way the light changes the color. I feel like Sweetwater should do a better job of capturing this style of finish. When you spend this much on a bass I feel like there should be no surprises involved. I am lucky that it was a good surprise! The black hardware was a huge part of the reason I picked this bass. I have been dreaming of a Stingray since I was a child. I cried my eyes out when I first plugged it in. I grew up poor and this is a literal dream come true for someone like me.

I was torn between the Sapphire Iris and Emerald Iris for weeks before I went with Emerald Iris. But the Sapphire Iris ones seem to get all the love. :eyebrow:

These are Sweetwater photos of the actual bass I bought - it has a blue undertone in the right light - you can just catch it at the edges of these pics.

God damn that thing is gorgeous. Were you surprised by the way the light affects finish? I was not expecting that. Sweetwater doesnt really capture it well in the photos. When I purchased mine there was very little information available about them aside from like NAMM pics. I kind of felt stupid when I opened the case for the first time because I wasnt expecting that. I would love to see your bass in person in the sun.

I love it. Is that one available with an ebony fretboard?
