Some time ago I had decided that the new stingray specials are a little out of my budget comfort zone.. Then this morning I stumble upon this online at a GC in TX, and now it is on its way to me. As for the price, wait for it.......... $1150 shipped!
Its supposedly in excellent condition with the exception that previous owner had installed a midi pickup on it. I think I can live with the holes for that price. I am not sure they realized it was a stingray special. I'll probably have to NBD post when it shows up. Thanks for letting me express my excitement!

See, THAT's why I don't fool with synths and MIDI, I can't afford it: Look at that bass, I figure that's $500 EACH just for the holes, dropped that great axe a grand. Sheeshh ! !

I love it when you can steal something and get away with it. Congrats !

Thanks! I figure the original owner probably only got about 800 for it in trade. The holes don’t bother me much but if I were to ever install a midi pickup I’d be looking into reversible mounting options like 3m tape or something like that, especially for a nice bass that cost over 2k new.
