I've had my super bassman a few months now and been gigging with it.
I got the 610 neo cab with it.
Bass wise I tend to run a P-bass with flatwounds and usually play in blues or country settings.
I've got LOTS of low end. And its not very focused. One gig I got fed up and pulled out a thin guitar pick as my finger tone was so boomy and making the mix sound like mud.
I am far from a cabinet expert so pardon my ignorance if I'm off base on some of this.
Being this was my first tube head I was not aware that from reading other posts you really want a closed cab for tube heads. Ported cabs work best with solid state gear.
This Bums me out as that Neo 610 cost $1300. I sold dam near all my extra gear to get the had and cab /sigh.
So I'm open to suggestions. Weight is a consideration as I'm just turning 48 and have a beer drinkers body!
