Double Bass i tunes

If any one has I tunes, there is a free podcast on the double bass. Its all in German but there is some one performing part of the Dittersdorf Concerto with Harpsichord. Not bad for a free bit.
You might have to search for Double bass or Kontrabass in the Itunes store section.

The Podcast mentioned is titled ,,Ein Kontrabass spielt (selten) allein". From what I can make out in my rather naive-ness to German (I've been taking German language in school for only 2 years, but I'm going there this summer for 3 weeks, which should hopefully increase my German-ness ), it's recorded by a guy who served in the Berlin Philharmonic under Herbert von Karajan for 45 years.

He really only talks about his career in the Berlin Philharmonic. it is interesting nonetheless. My fluency in German has finally payed off.

Does his intonation at the beginning sound really queer, or is that just me?

There is a great podcast by Peter Jones called The Doublebasscast on iTunes. I hope that Peter continues to make new episodes. It looks like the last episode came out in May. The German podcast mentioned earlier in this thread is also very good, and it seems to be updated quite regularly.

I also started a double bass podcast recently. Right now it consists of about 25-30 tracks from previous recitals of mine. I played a recital on Gary Karr's old "Amati" bass in June, and that's in the podcast as well as some other stuff. You can find it in iTunes under "double bass" or off of my blog.

I hope that more double bass players create podcasts. It's a great way to put content out there. If you have some old recital tracks sitting around it is not much work to roll it into a podcast. Does anyone else know of other double bass podcasts?
