I want a new amp.

You're bored because your subconscious realized you're not living up to your name and avatar. Fulfill your destiny! Your next rig MUST B AMPEG!

But yeah, if you were wanting someone to talk you out of GAS, I think you came to the wrong place. Ampeg's PF series, Micro-VR and SVT-7 have been hot items. I'm personally very curious about the Streamliner and Promethean.

Seems I stirred up a hornets nest, lol. It's like an episode of Seinfeld. The thread about nothing, Lmao. I'm really curious about the Genz stuff and the older Trace stuff. I'm mainly talking amps, since I'm pretty happy with my cab for right now.

I'll bite. I was thrilled with my 350X and Goliath III as my entire and only amp set up. Thrilled, couldn't want anything more or else. Then I remembered TB about two years ago, started reading and posting again, and go figure now I've sold the 350X, traded some other gear for a Super Redhead, bought an MB500 and really figgin' want a NEO112. I've also bought a bass and built a bass. It's all your fault, TB! It's cool though, we're still friends.

Based on what I read, you have the Peavey TVX 412 cabinet, and the Peavey VB-2 .... I had both at one time, my suggestion is keep the head, but get a different cabinet, the 412 TVX is a very dark sounding cabinet, IMHO, you'll get a completely different sound with a different cabinet, that Peavey VB-2 has a lotta different tones in that amp

I agree with your comments about the head. Very versatile and an overall outstanding amp. The cab, sounds fine to me, and I may get rid of it at some point, but the resale is horrible and I get the volume I need from the cone area, lol. So I'm keeping it for now. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my rig. I just want a change, lol. I think. I want to try some specific other heads. So, if no one will trade me, ill just keep what I got. No Biggie. I haven't even listed it yet. So, I dunno..... At this point I'm just kicking tires, lol.
