I want a singlecut body- just the body!

where can i find such a thing?! warmoth doesn't carry it, and i can't think of anyone who would. unfinished, or finished (doesn't matter).

i understand that there are complications, like the upper [lack of] horn attaching tot he neck .. but there's got to be some solution out there. .

lower price the better, but i'm still interested in anything you've got! does anyone sell singlecut bodies?

Warmoth does in a way. The custom T and LP shapes are single cuts. But yeah I hear what you mean.
There is a good reason for it though. Singlecuts benefit from neckthrough and set neck designs. They are pretty much worthless for a bolt-on since you don't get the long upper connection between neck and body.
It may explain why they rarely come as separate bodies.

Warmoth makes Custom T, Iceman, and LP bodies that are singlecut, or are you looking for something else? At least, they're what I'd call singlecut...correct me if I'm wrong.

Benevente do bolt on single cuts, the usually bolt that long upper connection right into the neck.

I have never seen singlecut bodies for sale. Singlecuts are not even mass produced (excluding LP style basses). Your best bet would be to contact a luthier and see if he/she offers bodies for sale. However, purchasing a complete bass would be much better. You wouldn't have the headache of trying to match bodies and necks that are not meant for each other.

i appreciate your input- i went on the benavente website and they don't seem like the right place to buy just a body. . especially looking at how they bolt them on!

i'm looking for something more this style, than an LP

no way?

Ditto on the body. I am looking for a single cut body also. Perhaps you know of someone who can put a body with a neck and leave the hardware, tuners, bridge, electronics, finishing undone. I can do the rest., even routing etc. If anyone has information I would appreciate a response.

Another forum member mentioned this luthier in another thread:

The Single-Cut basses are Bolt-On. Check out the gallery, they all look fantastic. I don't know if he would just sell a body, but at least you can get an idea of how they look.

My suggestion would be to get in touch with Tom Clement as well, although I'm sure if you look at them, you'd probably want a neck from him as well (a full bass) :D

Other alternative is to look on eBay.
There's a seller named Gluff who makes bodies only, he might be convinced to make a single-cut body. Here's a link to one of his bass body auctions.
