Double Bass Ian Noyce Semi Acoustic Double Bass

Hi Talkbass members,
Luthier Ian Noyce is currently making a superbly designed Semi-Acoustic doublebass in which himself and musician Peter Howell
designed.I found out about this bass while searching the web
on Link Removed has kindly sent me photo's CD's and
DVD's of this amazing looking and sounding bass.I can't wait to
get my hands on it.

Nice looking bass, but with the US/AUD exchange rate, I won't be buying it anytime soon. $7700US!!!! Let us know how it sounds!

I'm fortunate enough to have the second of these Noyce & Howells--Pete Howell has the first. I'm left handed so it's been important to have a bass that's custom made and I couldn't be happier with it. It costs, but I see it as a long term proposition, and that makes it a great investment. Biggest hassle is finding something to transport it in without paying big dollars--my compromise has been a surf board cover--heavy vinyl, good padding and the right size and shape (with some imagination involved!). Suits me because one of my bands plays surf music!
