Ibanez EHB1500 vs SR1300

Hello dear bassists,
I had the SR1300 in the past. I loved its feel and looks very much, as well as the tone soloed (was just lacking of some bottom end). But in a band context the midrange was just not cutting it like my other basses (Sire PJ, Fender Marcus Miller).
Anyone has a comparative experience with the EHB1500?
