Ibanez K5 vs. ATK305

Both good basses. Ive owned two ATK's and I have a 6 string soundgear on the way. The soundgear will get that low strung slanky clank tone and overall has a great sound. The ATK will get more of a mid range punch with slapping or more of that round Pbass or music man tone with a pick. Both are great but Id go with whats more appropriate for your music. The first albums from Korn or Limp Bizkit nail the soundgear tone and Pocket Full of Kryptonite by the Spin Doctors is a great example of the ATK sound.

As far as the neck a sound gear is much thinner neck sort of like the style of Ibanez RG guitars. The ATK has more of a musicman stingray or Lakland 44-02 type of neck. Personally I think the maple fretboard ATKs were best.
