Ibanez (Modulus) Graphite neck needing tuners, Advise Please

My one is serial number 008, and has the modulus logo on it instead of the Ibanez one.
It has Ibanez tuners on it.
The roadbass body is a very similar shape to the modulus one, making me wonder whether it was a Modulus design?

Nice. I have one as well, purchased in late 84 or early 85 from Stars Guitars, which was a few doors down from Modulus (Jack Casady was actually trying out a Modulus bass that day as well). It's got a similar PJ setup with active EMG and an Ibanez/Modulus Graphite Series decal on the headstock. Fit and finish are beautiful, and I was told it was a prototype for a series that probably wasn't going into production. Nice bass, and I'll post some photos if anyone cares.

Would love to see it. Do you have any idea of the neck number?
I am interested in how many of the Modulus logos they had, before going to the Ibanez.
Mine is also active.

I don't think I'd want to pull off the neck at this point, as everything is still set up pretty nicely, so no idea of the # (it has an Ibanez 'Made in Japan' plate, which I'm sure was placed for show). Here are some photos of it. After checking my records, I realize this was displayed at Stars Guitars, but that I bought it from Geoff Gould, who founded Modulus. Several years ago I wrote him about it, and he gave me a friendly reply, offering nothing further than what I mentioned above (i.e. prototype for a series that was not to be).

Wow! That is really cool! Mine is number 0013. I have always wondered if something was wrong with it or was it not used because it was number 0013. Thanks!
