Ibanez R series

I bought a bass from a friend a few years back and only now have started to wonder what the hell it is.

It has a Fender style body and neck, but the head says Ibanez R series. From the little bit of info I've been able to find, the only R series Ibanez put out was a guitar, not a bass.

Anyone have any idea what I'm playing on? I'll post pics as soon as I steal someone's camera.

he said bass, so I'm assuming it has 4 thick strings, maybe 5 but probably 4.
