Ibanez RD500?

I've noticed that some RD500s have a matching headstock and others have the natural. The ones with the natural headstock has traditional j and mm shape pups while the ones with the matching headstocks have a more smoother soapbar shape(no tabs sticking out for the screws). Also the one with the natural headstock has four large magnets on the j pup instead of the traditional eight. Which one is newer? Do they all have coil tapping? Any other differances? Any info you can share would be much apriciated.

The matching headstock and tab-less jazz neck pickup were introduced in 2005. Previous years had a standard Jazz neck pickup and a natural headstock.

I'm not sure about the coil tapping thing. I know that the 2005 and later models had the push/pull pot, but I don't know about the older models.

I will say, though, that the newer models sound much better to my ears than the first generation. They're growlier and more aggressive, where the first model was rather bland sounding.
