Here is my Ibanez SR1400 in Mojito Lime Green. The Nordstrand Big Singles make this puppy sing! This was my main bass for the past two years - never gigged, but frequently played (and well-loved!). The tonal possibilities are huge here, achieving tones close to a jazz and a P, while still retaining its own character.
Currently strung BEAD.
There's a chip on the left side of the headstock from accidentally hitting it in a doorframe.
It hasn't affected the stability of the instrument, but it is definitely noticeable.
My favorite part of this instrument is the neck, hands-down. I was told it was wenge when I purchased it, so I spoke wonders of how amazing wenge was, how light, etc... only to find out that it's actually a panga-panga/purpleheart neck. And man, how amazing it is! The neck is so thin and quick, but you can feel the grain of the woods in the nicest ways (but you absolutely CANNOT catch your skin in it). I love it and I do regret giving it up, but the fact of the matter is that I just don't play it as much as it deserves. This guy needs a new home and deserves to be owned by someone who will give it the attention it needs.
I'm also trying to make room for a custom build and a Dingwall D-Roc.
