I have a SR305DX with 2 control knobs and a double control knob and I don't know what is volume and what is tone or boost. I think 1 of the knobs is broke because I can't hear any difference on or off.

If the bass has 4 knobs, the controls would consist a volume control, a pick-up blend, a bass boost, and a treble boost. standard controls you would find on active bass guitars.
